Northwest Marine Yacht Club is a Lake Charlevoix marina with transient slips and seasonal rentals, complete
with swimming pool and other amenities.
Unlike any marine facility you have ever been at, Northwest Marine Yacht Club is in a class by itself. Recognized internationally
for its staff and facilities, it is the perfect location for a summer address. Situated on Lake Charlevoix in “Charlevoix the Beautiful”
on the shores of Lake Michigan, it is truly one of the country’s finest summer resorts and vacation destinations.
Tranquility, superb restaurants and shops, excellent municipal facilities and friendly people characterize the community.
Lake Charlevoix is one of the state’s largest inland lakes. It empties via the Pine River Channel into Lake Michigan for
miles of nautical enjoyment.
Since 1981, Northwest Marine Yacht Club has offered an unmatched cruising area and the privacy of a Club atmosphere. Don’t
let the word Club at the end of the name fool you. It means a group of friends who are all owners of their own marina. If there
were to be a dress code (which there isn’t) it would be swim suits and shorts.
All of our members are special people, not because of their occupations, but because of their shared pleasure, boating, and
their shared conclusion that Northwest Marine Yacht Club is A Port You Can Finally Call Home!
2009 Dock Attendant of The Year Scholarship. Association Secretary, Bob Uehlein, presented the 2009 Dock Attendant of
The Year Scholarship Award to recipient, Kristin Bradley. This is the second year that Kristin has received this award. Kristin
was chosen by a the Board of Directors and Harbormaster and was awarded a $500. scholarship. Kristin has been with
Northwest Marine for 4 years and is attending Michigan State University. Kristin thanked the association for their generosity.
The Scholarship fund is totally self sufficient of any Association funding and offered each year through the donations of individual
slip owners.
ABOUT OUR DOCKS

Northwest Marine Yacht Club consists of 207 slips. The main docks are constructed using 40' long, 12" steel "H" beams driven
every 15 feet with 8"x8" wolmanized wood beams in between to create a solid break wall. The top decks and finger piers are all
steel frames wrapped in treated lumber. To protect your craft in those difficult dockings, the inside of each slip is equipped with
spring boards.
Each slip is equipped with its own water outlet for drinking or washdown and its own electric meter, thus enabling you to
only pay for what you use.
